Toddlers To Grandparents provides consumer-directed service facilitation for the CCC+ waiver, DD waiver, and EPSDT Program for the entire State of Virginia. We serve families with children from 6 weeks old to adults well into their 90's, all with varying abilities. Some of those identified special needs include Chromosomal Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome, Dementia, Alzheimer's, Stroke Victims, Cancer, Diabetes and a wide variety of sensory integration and multi-disabling disorders, as well as the medically fragile.

What We Offer

At Toddlers To Grandparents, we are here to be the cornerstone through your waiver journey and ensure you begin the process on strong footing. From learning about the different waivers/programs that the Commonwealth of Virginia has to offer, to applying for the one that fits your needs, followed by enrolling with our company and hiring your first attendant, we are here to support all of your waiver needs!

 

Our team of Service Facilitators are so excited to meet you and get acquainted with your case. Here at TTG, you will find that you always have a friendly face to turn to and someone and even when your assigned SF may be assisting another family, our office staff is just a quick email or phone call away. Everyone of our office staff members are certified Service Facilitators themselves, so you will always be communicating with someone who has hands-on experience with our members and can help you in a timely manner.

On average, it takes just two weeks from your initial call or online referral to meet in person with one of our intake specialists. We work hard to maintain this quick timeline, so you can expect your waiver services to be fully in place within approximately one month.

Meet Declan, Age 8

Mowat-Wilson Syndrome

Declan LOVES basketball. Just mentioning the sport is enough to light up his entire face as he jumps up and down with excitement. This paired with his deep belly laugh quickly has everyone who meets Declan instantly fall in love with him.

 

His rare genetic disorder coincides with a number of health defects. These can include Hirschsprung disease, intellectual disability, epilepsy, delayed growth and motor development, congenital heart disease, and genitourinary anomalies. Many individuals with this condition are also born without the corpus callosum, the part of the brain that connects the two hemispheres. 

 

Declan reminds everyone around him that joy doesn’t depend on words. His determination, resilience, and love for life inspire those who have the privilege of knowing him.

Hormone Deficiency

Cailin has a primary diagnosis of autism and growth hormone deficiency. While verbal, she can be difficult to understand to unfamiliar listeners, and has difficulty with fine motor tasks. She loves working on her iPad and being with her brother. Cailin’s super power is to change other kid’s hearts when they are unsure about her, but then end up growing alongside of her by including her in activities 
and fun.

Meet The Geoghegan Family

Benji's Story...

Benjamin—“Benji” to those who love him—is six years old and full of quirky, unique, quiet hope. He was born with a rare form of mitochondrial disease (FBXL4), the same genetic condition that his big sister, Lorelei, bravely carried before him. Lorelei taught us how to navigate this rare disease world, how to fight for our children, and how to find joy in the midst of fear. Though she is no longer with us, her love and light are woven into every part of our family’s journey, and Benji carries her spirit forward in his own way.

Benji adores music, being outside by the water, and cuddling with his favorite people and blankie. He plays on a Little League Baseball Challengers Team. He loves going on adventures with his family—whether that’s taking mini vacations, riding in the camper van, or simply sitting outside feeling the breeze. He can’t eat traditional foods, but he does love to lick lollipops and Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing.

Like most children, he has his preferences—Benji isn’t a fan of loud, chaotic noises, and he’ll let you know if he’s uncomfortable. But he loves watching people from a distance and still being included. Because of his disease he cannot walk, talk or eat by mouth – but he can communicate with his eyes and an augmentative communication computer. 

This journey hasn’t been easy for our family. Caring for medically complex children has meant countless hospital stays, sleepless nights, and the constant weight of uncertainty. Losing Lorelei broke our hearts in ways words will never fully capture. And yet, her life—and now Benji’s—have taught us resilience, advocacy, and how to celebrate joy in unexpected places.

Our hope in sharing his story is simple: that others see what we see. Benji is brave. He is loved. And, together with his sister’s memory, he reminds us every day that even in the hardest circumstances, there is light worth holding on to.
